About Us
Welcome to the Party!

Thanks for joining The Unexpected Party and we are very happy that you decided to see why we're the best party in all of Middle Earth! This page is intended to give you a "crash course" on the Kinship and some helpful information. Our kin site is www.tup.shivtr.com and this is the primary spot for all TUP information. While it's not mandatory to have an account of access the kin site, this is where most communication and announcements take place including weekly LotRO and weekly Kinship newsletters. Feel free to create an account and check out all the stuff we have there (About us, calendar, forum, maps and other tools, etc.).

Next thing! We have a sister kin called Laughs at Dragons (abbreviated LAD in chat). This kin only has a few members in it and is used primarily for a second kin house. If you have any questions about it, check out the information we have about it: www.tup.shivtr.com/pages/lad. Any questions after that can be directed towards any of the Officers.

Also, we have an in-game chat channel set up to allow our LAD and TUP members to converse with each other. You can join by typing /joinchannel tup founders into a chat window. That will register the channel on one of your User Chats. You can then participate in chat by typing /{1-4 depending on the slot registered} then your message. It's suggested that you change the color of the chat channel to make it easy to idenify. Some people choose a blue similar to the default Kinship chat color. Feel free to join the channel on any of your other toons in and outside of TUP if you'd like to keep in contact with us!

We have a private Discord server, the instructions on joining can be found under the About Us tab on the kin site www.tup.shivtr.com/pages/general as well as a direct invite to the server from www.tup.shivtr.com/pages/discord. This program has a desktop, iOS and Android client that the kin uses for text chat as well as voice chat for raids/instances/etc.

That covers the basics pretty well I think. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to reach out to any member of the kin, especially Officers. We're all here to slay some Orcs and have a good time (not that the two are mutually exclusive), so we are willing to help in any way we can.

Keep the Party rolling!
