I had an idea on how to deal with the the Weavers in PvMP. The main problem I've had with them is their damage over time. They have 3 long ranged acid DoT skills and 1 short ranged acid DoT skill. At times they can put more DoT on someone than they can remove themselves, and enough stays on to kill you. However, what I realized is that we could use the concept of circle healing to pot for each other as well.

Here's a look at the Weaver's DoT skills:
Long range (30m):

Virulent Poison
  • 477 - 681 Acid Damage initially.
  • 200 - 286 Acid Damage every 3 seconds for 15
  • 20s cooldown

Tainted Kiss
  • 291 - 416 Acid Damage initially
  • 135 - 193 Acid Damage every 3 seconds for 30 seconds
  • 6s cooldown

Mephitic Kiss
  • 291 - 416 Acid Damage initially.
  • 135 - 193 Acid Damage every 3 seconds for 30 seconds
  • 20s cooldown

Short ranged (2.5m):

Piercing Attack
  • 307 Acid Damage
  • 144 - 206 Acid Damage every 3 seconds for 9 seconds
  • 2s cooldown

Milkthistle Draught is good for removing a poison effect from yourself, however Milkthistle Salve can be used to remove a poison effect from another player.

If people call out that they're poisoned then the group can help remove it. One step better would be to download LOTRO Alerts and set it to notify you when one of your group has been poisoned. If we set up a circle of notifications such that whenever someone is poisoned, another person (or two) is notified, then we could always remove the poisons before they did too much damage.

Here's an example setup for if I wanted to set an alert to notify myself if Morinrida is poisoned with Mephitic Kiss or Tainted Kiss.
Label: Morinrida Poisoned
Message: Morinrida (so I know who to pot)
Duration: 2 sec
Interval: 0 sec
Cooldown: (blank)
Color: green (to remind me to use the green pot)
Font: TrajanProBold 36 (default)
Opacity: 60% (default)
Image: (blank)
Channel: "All" or "combat enemy"
Pattern: Kiss on Morinrida
Resize and position the alert box (red and white border) in a place where you'll see it (or keep as default)
Click the test button to test the alert
When satisfied click the save button

Note: a similar strategy could be used against Uruk Blackarrow's DoT damage.

i think it's a great idea in concept. implementation may be a bit tricky. but it can't hurt to try it out. one thing that helped me greatly vs weavers is raising my resistance via vitality and will stat tomes, and resistance food. i notice that i shrug off alot of their dot attacks now.

REading this, now I understand better. I like the idea. I think this is more of a problem for Champs. When there are two spiders, we get poisoned 6 times really fast, esp. when you are running around. Then its almost impossible to heal faster than the poison takes you down, without a dedicated healer at least. I have had 20k health, and died form poison.

Yes. I've had several poisons put on me in the same way when you run out to the creeps. I didn't realize it but yes, I guess it's more of a champ problem, and more of a problem when there's multiple spiders. I set up some notifications to tell me when you and Shir are poisoned, but they didn't save. I'll set them up again, and we'll see how it works.
